Step in to the Spotlight: Intermediate Burlesque Course

Take your burlesque journey to the next level as you continue to develop confidence, artistry, and performance skills in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment. Our Intermediate Burlesque Course is designed for students who have a foundation in burlesque and are ready to explore the dance form in greater depth.

Over the course, you’ll learn:

Intermediate Burlesque Technique: Build on your existing knowledge with more advanced Burlesque techniques, focusing on musicality, fluid transitions, precision, and dynamic performance quality.

Chair Dance Technique: Learn how to confidently incorporate a chair into your choreography, exploring elegant movement, creative transitions, levels, and classic burlesque styling while developing strength, coordination, and control.

Strength, Confidence & Body Awareness: Continue to improve posture, flexibility, balance, core strength, and body awareness while refining your movement quality and performance confidence.

This class is suitable for students who have completed our Beginners Burlesque Course or have previous burlesque or dance experience.

This term, we’ll work towards learning a full Burlesque chair dance routine, combining technique, musicality, and theatrical performance. At the end of the course, there will be an optional in-studio performance in December, giving those who wish to perform the opportunity to showcase everything they’ve learned in a relaxed and supportive setting.
