Beginners Burlesque

This term we’re going full Madonna with a fun, sexy beginners routine to Material Girl.

Over 6 weeks, you’ll learn a playful burlesque routine combining classic burlesque technique with Madonna’s iconic 80s style and attitude. Expect heels, cheeky choreography, striptease and plenty of sass.

Over the 6 weeks, you’ll work on:

Burlesque Technique
The foundations of burlesque including posture, walks, musicality, posing, arm styling and stage presence.

Choreography
Learn a full routine to Material Girl, with plenty of character, attitude and classic Madonna-inspired movement.

Striptease & Tease
Learn the basics of burlesque striptease, including how to tease, reveal and use your movements to create a performance that’s playful and confident.

Performance & Confidence
Work on musicality, expression, body awareness and performing with confidence — while having a good time and getting a great workout.

No previous dance or burlesque experience is required.

The course finishes with an optional in-studio performance on Tuesday 8th December, where you’ll have the chance to perform your Material Girl routine.
