Flirting with Burlesque (Beginners) Course

We have two new ‘Flirting with Burlesque’ Beginners 8 week courses starting in Dance House, Dublin 1. (16th & 21st of April)

Feel safe and learn from an experienced professional how to walk and dance in high heels. This Beginners course is designed to introduce you to the core Burlesque movements and techniques while also giving you a great workout. This term we will focus on garter removal techniques, hula hooping and perfecting the classical glove peel in a sultry Burlesque routine.

No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it’s perfect for all ages. All levels of skill can be catered to, whether you’re a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life, either way you will finish the course feeling like a glamorous burlesque dancer.

Prom Night – Xmas Party 14th of November

We would like to announce our Christmas Party for all of our students ‘Prom Night – Class of 2014’ in BelloBar Venu, Portabello on Friday the 14th of November. The evening will be packed full of performances from our Intermediate & Advanced ladies. Prizes for best dressed!  Dress coade : Prom night!

Vintage Bump n Grind Workshop with Burlesque Sensation Sheena Miss Demeanour

We are very excited to announce that Australia’s burlesque sensation Sheena Miss Demeanour will be teaching a Vintage Bump n Grind Workshop on Saturday the 15th of November at the Irish Burlesque School while she is touring for the Dublin Burlesque Festival.

Sheena is known for her sassy grinds and vintage moves along with her delectable fan dancing.

 

Vintage Bump n Grind Workshop

Saturday the 15th of November 3:00- 4:30pm in Dance House, Foley st, Dublin 1.

In this workshop you will learn sexy vintage and retro dance moves from the 1950’s with a focus on bumping and grinding with the lower body. Cheeky facial expressions to match your moves will be explored along with vintage finishing poses and shimmy work for both lower and upper body. This class is a workout and a half so no corsets – wear something flirty and comfortable and don’t forget to bring your high heels.

You will be giggling, hip flicking and grinding in no time within a safe and fun environment. The class will end with a Bump and Grind off – a survival of the fittest , with the winner being awarded a special prize! The most fun you can have working your thighs!
