In this Beginners Classical Burlesque set of classes we are learning all about Gypsy Rose Lee, One of the most Iconic Burlesque Artists. She was the biggest star at the Minsky Burlesque in NYC and later moved to Hollywood to star in the silver screen.
Gypsy was famous for her innovations, humour and ‘gimmicks’. She loved to tease an audience and is said that she is the one who first emphasized the ‘tease’ in striptease!
In this class each week we will learn Gypsy’s techniques and gimmicks along with a fun Classical Burlesque routine inspired by her.

In this set of Classical Burlesque Classes we are learning all about the first ‘It Girl’ of Burlesque – Lili St Cyr (pronounced sincere). During the 1940’s & 50’s she was one of the most famous Burlesque stars of her day.

Brooks was the star in the Ziegfeld’s Follies on Broadway and later became a Hollywood Icon and starred in many Movies in the 1930’s.
