Step into the glamorous world of burlesque and discover the art of tease, confidence, and self-expression! Our Beginners Burlesque Course is designed for anyone who wants to explore the joy and elegance of burlesque in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment.

Over the course, you’ll learn:

Classical Burlesque Techniques: Discover the foundations of burlesque, including elegant posture, graceful walks, musicality, arm styling and stage presence.

Showgirl Technique: Learn the timeless style of the classic burlesque showgirl, developing confidence, performance quality, and expressive movement inspired by vintage cabaret and Hollywood glamour.

Top Hat & Glove Technique: Learn how to confidently perform with two of burlesque’s most iconic accessories. Explore stylish top hat choreography, elegant glove work, and graceful prop handling to add sophistication, character, and theatrical flair to your performance.

Strength, Confidence & Body Awareness: Improve coordination, balance, posture, flexibility, and core strength while building confidence in your movement and performance.

No prior dance experience is required—just bring your curiosity and an open mind. This class is perfect for anyone looking to improve fitness, confidence, posture, and elegance while discovering the timeless art of burlesque.

This term, we’ll also work towards learning a full classical showgirl routine featuring top hats and gloves. At the end of the course, there will be an optional in-studio performance in December, giving those who wish to perform the opportunity to showcase everything they’ve learned in a relaxed and supportive setting.
