We are thrilled to welcome you to our Advanced Burlesque Course this September! Designed for experienced performers who are ready to refine their artistry and continue developing their unique stage presence.
This term, we’ll dive into one of the most iconic disciplines in classical burlesque—Feather Fan Dancing. Throughout the course, you’ll develop elegant feather fan technique, learning beautiful fan manipulation, framing, reveals, illusion, and seamless transitions inspired by the glamour of the Golden Age of Burlesque.
Alongside feather fan work, we’ll continue to refine your burlesque technique, musicality, performance quality, and theatrical storytelling. Classes will focus on precision, artistry, confidence, and expressive performance, helping you elevate every aspect of your stagecraft.
This term, we’ll work towards learning a stunning classical feather fan routine, combining technical skill with elegance and showgirl glamour. Students will also have the opportunity to perform the routine in our optional in-studio showcase in December, providing a relaxed and supportive environment to celebrate everything you’ve learned.

It’s show season! ✨
This term is all about rehearsing and getting ready for our Summer Show: Burlesque at the Movies, taking place on 12th July at The Button Factory.
Throughout the term, you’ll be placed into your show groups and will begin rehearsing your routines in class. All choreography has been taught in previous terms, so this term will focus purely on rehearsing, refining, and elevating your performance ready for the stage.
We’ll be focusing on performance quality, stage presence, character work, and confidence—polishing every detail to ensure a strong, professional, and captivating performance.
Alongside rehearsals, we’ll also be training to get show fit—building strength, control, stamina, and presence so you feel powerful, confident, and fully stage-ready.
This is a focused and performance-driven term as we work toward the show, so attendance and commitment are essential.

Over the course of the term, we’ll refine your technique, elevate your stagecraft, and focus on performance quality as we work towards our summer show in June. This term’s featured routine is “Be Italian” from the musical Nine—a bold, theatrical number packed with character, musicality, and confident ensemble performance. Expect dynamic choreography, strong storytelling, and polished presentation as we prepare this showpiece for the stage.

This exclusive 6-week course will allow students to explore the signature movements and nuances of Fosse’s showgirl aesthetic while seamlessly blending them with our signature Burlesque flair.
Designed for dancers with some experience, the course will focus on enhancing both technique and performance skills. Students will learn essential Fosse techniques, such as his sharp isolations, sensual fluidity, and iconic jazz hands, while bringing their own Burlesque artistry into the mix. This exciting opportunity is ideal for those looking to refine their stage presence, increase their confidence, and take their Burlesque performance to the next level.
Fosse’s choreography, made famous through shows like Cabaret and Chicago, is known for its elegance, sensuality, and precision—qualities that pair perfectly with the art of Burlesque.
