We’re delighted to announce a 4-week Intermediate Burlesque course, perfect for dancers ready to build confidence, develop performance skills, and take the next step toward the stage.

This term will focus on learning a fun, dynamic burlesque routine for our summer show, Burlesque at the Movies, taking place at The Button Factory on July 12th. Students will work on musicality, character, clean choreography, and performance quality, all within a supportive and encouraging environment.

Expect sass, storytelling, and show-ready polish as we prepare this routine for a live audience.

• Week 1: Tuesday 10th March at 7:30 PM

• Week 2: Wednesday 18th March at 7:00 PM (one week only – due to Paddy’s Day)

• Weeks 3 & 4: Back to Tuesdays at 7:30 PM

Step in to the Spotlight: Intermediate Burlesque Course

It’s show season! 

This term is all about rehearsing and getting ready for our Summer Show: Burlesque at the Movies, taking place on 12th July at The Button Factory.

Throughout the term, you’ll be placed into your show groups and begin rehearsing your routines in class. All choreography has been taught in previous terms, so this term will focus purely on rehearsing, refining, and bringing your performance to life on stage.

We’ll be focusing on performance quality, confidence, and that signature burlesque presence—polishing every detail so you feel fully prepared.

Alongside rehearsals, we’ll also be training to get show fit—working on strength, control, stamina, and stage presence so you feel strong, confident, and stage-ready.

This is an exciting and focused term as we work toward the show, so booking is open to current students only.

Get ready for a term full of energy, confidence, and performance as we bring Burlesque at the Movies to life on stage

Stage Sirens – Preparing for the Summer Show (Intermediate Burlesque)

Step back into the spotlight and continue developing your burlesque performance skills in a supportive, creative, and empowering environment.

This term, our focus will be on preparing for our Summer Show: Burlesque at the Movies, taking place on 12th July at The Button Factory. Throughout the course, we will be learning and refining a brand-new routine inspired by the show’s theme, giving you the opportunity to deepen your stage presence, musical interpretation, and performance confidence.

Designed for dancers with previous burlesque or dance experience, this class will focus on more detailed choreography, expressive styling, and polished performance quality as we work towards the show. We’ll also continue strengthening technique, control, and fluidity to support confident and captivating stage work.

Join us this term as we bring cinematic glamour, storytelling, and burlesque flair together to create a memorable performance for Burlesque at the Movies ✨

This course is designed for dancers with prior burlesque experience who are ready to elevate their skills, refine their technique, and explore a more contemporary, high-impact burlesque style. We’ll build on your existing foundations, sharpening your bump ’n’ grind, refining burlesque walks, and developing a strong, confident stage presence with a sleek commercial edge.

Step in to the Spotlight: Intermediate / Advanced – Showgirl Style 

6 week course €115

This term, we’re stepping into the spotlight with true Showgirl Style — a dazzling blend of vintage glamour, poised confidence, and festive charm to have you sparkling just in time for the holiday season. Expect a wink of sass and a twirl of seasonal magic as we glide into the festivities with grace and glitter. 

Throughout the course, you’ll refine your technique, deepen your connection to classic burlesque movement, and elevate your stage presence — all while enhancing posture, poise, and performance confidence in an empowering and expressive environment.

We’ll be working on a full showgirl style routine to ‘A Guy What Takes His Time’ and in the spirit of the season, we’ll also be learning a fun and festive choreography to ‘Jingle Bell Rock’.

To finish off the term in style, we’ll celebrate with an in-studio performance in our final class — a chance to shine and show off everything you’ve learned.

This intermediate course is designed for those who already have some burlesque experience and want to refine their technique, deepen their stage presence, and add even more sass to their style. We’ll build on the foundations you know, polishing your bump ’n’ grind, enhancing your burlesque walks, and adding extra layers of sensuality, confidence, and performance flair.

This term we will learn ‘Mein Herr’ an Iconic chair routine! Expect a blend of technique, artistry, and pure fun in a body-positive, supportive space.

We are delighted to announce our new Intermediate Burlesque Course, beginning this January. This course is designed for performers ready to elevate their craft, refine their technique, and prepare for the Academy’s highly anticipated summer show, Tease Through Time, taking place on June 29th at the Button Factory.

This performance-focused course will deepen participants’ technical skills and stage presence, culminating in a group act that will bring the magic of burlesque evolution to life. Students will explore burlesque’s storied history, from its vintage glamour to its modern reinventions, showcasing their talents in a spectacular celebration of the art form’s growth and diversity.

Course Highlights:

• Strengthen Technique: Build on foundational burlesque skills with intermediate choreography, musicality, and dynamic expression.
• Performance Preparation: Develop the confidence and polish needed to shine on stage.
• Collaborative Creativity: Work alongside a vibrant community of performers to create an unforgettable group act for Tease Through Time.

Tease Through Time will transport audiences on a journey through the decades, celebrating how burlesque has evolved while keeping its sensual charm and playful edge. Held at the Button Factory, this show marks the Irish Burlesque Academy’s triumphant return to the stage.
