Designed for seasoned performers ready to take their craft to the next level, this intensive program will focus on preparing participants for two marquee events: An opening number for the prestigious MX Ireland competition and the highly anticipated return of the Irish Burlesque Academy’s summer showcase – Tease Through Time.
The Advanced Burlesque Course offers a unique opportunity for students to refine their skills, hone their stage presence, and collaborate with a community of passionate performers. With a curriculum centred on performance techniques, students will explore choreography, storytelling, and the art of captivating an audience, ensuring they’re ready to shine under the spotlight.
Tease Through Time – Mark your calendars for June 29th, 2025, as the Irish Burlesque Academy takes over the Button Factory for its grand summer showcase. Tease Through Time is a dazzling exploration of burlesque through the ages, from its classic roots to its contemporary reinventions. The Advanced Burlesque Course will play a pivotal role in bringing this story to life, with students delivering show-stopping performances.

This Beginners course is designed to introduce you to the core Burlesque movements and techniques while also giving you a great workout. For this term we will learn various garter removal techniques with fun choreography and each week we will work on learning a Classical Burlesque bump n’ grind routine.
No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it’s perfect for all ages. All levels of skill can be accommodated. Whether you’re a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life, either way you will finish the course feeling like a glamorous burlesque dancer.
