Step in to the Spotlight: Intermediate Burlesque Course

We are delighted to announce our new Intermediate Burlesque Course, beginning this January. This course is designed for performers ready to elevate their craft, refine their technique, and prepare for the Academy’s highly anticipated summer show, Tease Through Time, taking place on June 29th at the Button Factory.
This performance-focused course will deepen participants’ technical skills and stage presence, culminating in a group act that will bring the magic of burlesque evolution to life. Students will explore burlesque’s storied history, from its vintage glamour to its modern reinventions, showcasing their talents in a spectacular celebration of the art form’s growth and diversity.
Course Highlights:
- Strengthen Technique: Build on foundational burlesque skills with intermediate choreography, musicality, and dynamic expression.
- Performance Preparation: Develop the confidence and polish needed to shine on stage.
- Collaborative Creativity: Work alongside a vibrant community of performers to create an unforgettable group act for Tease Through Time.
Tease Through Time will transport audiences on a journey through the decades, celebrating how burlesque has evolved while keeping its sensual charm and playful edge. Held at the Button Factory, this show marks the Irish Burlesque Academy’s triumphant return to the stage.
Enrolment Information: The Intermediate Burlesque Course is open to performers with previous burlesque experience or comparable dance and performance backgrounds.

No experience whatsoever is needed to take the course, it’s perfect for all ages. All levels of skill can be accommodated. Whether you’re a dancer/actor/performer or have never taken a dance class in your life, either way you will finish the course feeling like a glamorous burlesque dancer.
